  • This game looks really good, it can almost make you feel like you are at a real auction. Great video Rodney, cheers!

  • Will play Modern Art tomorrow for the first time. As is my habit before any new game experience I look you up first. You're the best at this.
    Thanks.

  • Thanks so much. I played back in the 90s and loved it, but I was completely rusty on the exact rules.

The new artwork is much nicer that the original works, which looked like stuff done on some early computer art package with odd filters.

  • You must get SO MANY hugs from players at conventions for teaching them the rules to the games they love.

  • I don't know if you've explained it before elsewhere, but what is that extensive name of producers at the end of each show? Are they part of each and every video you make?

  • Great video. Thanks!

  • What's the point of an art auction game that doesn't show real famous artworks? Seems this game is arbitrarily about art. They could've used baseball cards or celebrity clothing…

  • In my opinion, they should have used famous pieces of art instead.

  • Hmmm how could a tie occur? If the fifth painting of that same artist ends the round how could another artist get five out as well?

  • A Great Review as always! Enjoyed it a lot!

  • A game I really enjoyed on the ap, especially because it tallies everything quickly and takes care of tracking all the unique (+) numbers for various cards.  After that, I think I'd be too lazy to play and tally with real people.  (-:   R.K. is definitely high on my list of designers.

  • I don't understand why keeping money hidden is important, its the victory factor but means little during the game to contribute to victory conditions, it would be very easy to keep track of other players moneys anyway. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the value system, think its really great, although I don't understand the skill needed to win this game, Is it all chance or am I missing something?

  • Hey, Rodney!
I have a question. How is the 3 player variant? I mainly play 2 player games, with a few at 3 maybe once a week. Rarely do I get higher player counts than that. I would hate to purchase this game and hate the 3 player variant and never be able to play 4. Would you recommend someone to get it for 3?

  • Your playthroughs are awesome Rodney. So well organized and really easy to follow. I'm still waiting for more complex game playthoughs to come out more often! Nonetheless, keep it up. Your content is TOP NOTCH!

  • Exactly why I love this channel! I probably wouldn't have looked twice at this game in the store, seems kinda mundane, but the video shows otherwise. Thanks as always!

  • The art is beautiful! Rafael Silveira is my favorite artist among these. But I like his sculptures more than his paintings.

  • Rodney,

Thank goodness you got away from the Raxxon employees from your last how to play video to do this one. I thought the Raxxon how to play might be your last because I have heard the employees of Raxxon punish those who they take prisoner.
